Kazakhstan stands in solidarity with Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states and rejects threats to sovereignty

In a diplomatic move reflecting the depth of strategic relations between Central Asia and the Arabian Gulf region, His Excellency President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, expressed his country’s full and absolute solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a number of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in light of the security challenges and delicate circumstances the region is going through.
The Kazakh state news agency Kazinform reported that President Tokayev sent personal messages directly to the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. These messages clearly affirmed Kazakhstan's unwavering support for the security and stability of these brotherly nations, emphasizing his country's solidarity with the people of the Gulf during this critical time.
A firm rejection of military actions and aggression
The President of Kazakhstan strongly condemned any military actions or movements that could undermine the sovereignty of the Gulf states or threaten their national security. This firm stance is consistent with the principles of Kazakhstan's foreign policy, which are based on respect for the sovereignty of states and the rejection of foreign interference. His Excellency noted that any threat to the security of the Gulf is a threat to international peace and security, given the great strategic and economic importance of these countries to the world.
A call for diplomatic solutions and a rejection of violence
In a related context, President Tokayev reiterated his country's consistent call for the resolution of all international conflicts and complex issues through diplomatic channels and constructive dialogue, rejecting the language of military escalation. He emphasized that Kazakhstan, as a peace-loving nation and an active member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, believes that dialogue is the only way to ensure regional stability and spare its people the ravages of conflict.
The depth of historical relations and shared destiny
This solidarity initiative reinforces the strong historical ties between Kazakhstan and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, ties that have witnessed remarkable development in recent decades across all political and economic spheres.
