The Governor of Al-Baha forms a committee to host stranded Gulf nationals in implementation of the royal decree

In an immediate and urgent response to the generous directives of the wise leadership, His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Baha Region, issued a directive to form an urgent committee to follow up on and implement the royal order to host the Gulf brothers stranded in the Kingdom’s airports.
Immediate instructions to provide comfort for the siblings
His Royal Highness the Prince of Al-Baha Region emphasized the need for immediate and direct action, under his supervision and that of his deputy, to ensure the swift implementation of all necessary measures to address the situation of Gulf citizens residing in the region. He stressed to all relevant authorities the importance of utilizing all available resources to meet their needs, provide them with complete comfort, and treat them with the respect and dignity befitting their status as brothers in their second home, until suitable conditions are in place for their safe return to their countries.
The royal decree: an embodiment of the deep Gulf unity
This move in the Al-Baha region comes in implementation of the directive of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect him, who approved hosting all citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries stranded in the Kingdom's airports. This generous directive reflects the Saudi leadership's keenness to care for its Gulf brothers and treat them as Saudi citizens, especially in exceptional circumstances that may prevent them from traveling.
Historical background: The Kingdom and the unified Gulf home
This stance is not surprising for Saudi Arabia, which has long considered the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states a strategic and social extension of itself. Saudi-Gulf relations transcend traditional diplomatic frameworks, reaching the level of a "single family" and a "shared destiny." Historically, the Kingdom has always been at the forefront of containing crises and providing logistical and humanitarian support to the citizens of the GCC states, thus solidifying its position as a leading sister and a guardian of the Gulf home.
The human and social dimensions of the decision
This decision carries profound humanitarian dimensions, sending a message of reassurance to every Gulf citizen that they are in their homeland and among their people, regardless of the circumstances. This approach also strengthens the robust social bonds between the peoples of the region and reaffirms the authentic Arab values of generosity, hospitality, and helping those in need—values deeply rooted in Saudi culture and to which the leadership attaches great importance.
In conclusion, the competent authorities in the Al-Baha region and all regions of the Kingdom continue to work around the clock to implement these directives, reflecting the high readiness of Saudi government agencies in dealing with emergency situations with a humanitarian and fraternal dimension.
