The ceremony, held under the umbrella of Riyadh Season and sponsored by the General Entertainment Authority in partnership with MBC Group, was more than just an awards show; it was a global cultural phenomenon that brought together the rich heritage of Arab art with the glamour of international stardom. The Joy Awards ceremony is gaining increasing importance year after year, cementing Saudi Arabia's position as a leading destination on the international entertainment and cultural map. This grand event reflects the tremendous development of the arts sector in the Kingdom, serving as a bridge for cultural exchange that brings together Hollywood and Bollywood stars with a select group of Arab creatives. This edition was distinguished by an unprecedented public and media presence, and a lavender carpet welcomed the brightest names in film, drama, music, and sports.

A dazzling launch and world-class performances

The evening began with the Saudi national anthem, followed by a dazzling opening performance by international superstar Katy Perry, who presented a complete visual and musical spectacle accompanied by an orchestra, reflecting the scale of the production. A series of artistic performances followed, adding a special charm to the event, most notably the historic duet between international star Robbie Williams and Saudi artist Ayed, as well as a sophisticated vocal performance by the legendary singer Angham, accompanied by Polish musician Marcin.

The drama and film categories witnessed fierce competition, reflecting the development of Arab artistic production. The following are the key findings:

  • Best Actor (TV Series): The award was won by Saudi star Abdulmohsen Al-Nimr for his role in the series “Al-Marsa”.
  • Best Actress (TV Series): Syrian star Karis Bashar the award for her role in “Taht Sabea Ard”.
  • Best Gulf Series: The award went to the series “Al-A’sha Street”.
  • Best Egyptian series: The series “Ashghal Shaka Geddan” won.
  • Best Eastern Series: The award went to the series “Salma”.
  • Best Film Actor: Star Maged El Kedwany for the film “What’s in it?”
  • Best Film: The film “Siko Siko” won the award for favorite film.

Honoring the Giants and Achievement Awards

The ceremony also honored prominent figures who have enriched the cultural and sporting landscape. In a touching tribute, Advisor Turki Al-Sheikh presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Farouk Hosny Nasser bin Ghanem Al-Khelaifi , Chairman of the beIN Media Group, received the Diamond Entertainment Makers Award in recognition of his international contributions. Globally, actor Forest Whitaker a Lifetime Achievement Award, and young star Millie Bobby Brown named Person of the Year.

Music, sports, and influencers

Fadel Shaker won the Favorite Male Artist award, while Angham crowned Favorite Female Artist. Fadel Shaker's song "Sahak El Shawq" won the Favorite Song award. In sports, Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou the Favorite Athlete award, and Saudi player Laila Al-Qahtani won the Favorite Female Athlete award. In the Influencers category, the awards went to Rayan Al-Ahmari and Rateel Al-Shehri .

The ceremony concluded with a tribute to those who passed away in 2025 through the “In Memoriam” segment sung by Abeer Nehme, before the curtain fell on a night that confirmed Riyadh has become the beating heart of entertainment in the region.
