Jordanian Foreign Minister arrives in Riyadh on official visit to discuss cooperation

His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr. Ayman Safadi, arrived today in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on an official visit, which comes within the framework of strengthening the bonds of joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
At the forefront of those who received His Excellency upon his arrival at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh were His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Engineer Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji, and a number of officials, in a scene that reflects the depth of the diplomatic and protocol ties that unite the two kingdoms.
The depth of Saudi-Jordanian relations
This visit is a continuation of the long history of strong relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, relations characterized by their solidity and stability thanks to the shared visions of the two wise leaderships. Relations between Riyadh and Amman are distinguished by constant and ongoing coordination in various political, economic, and security fields, with Saudi Arabia being a strategic partner of Jordan and a key supporter of its stability and prosperity.
The importance of the visit at the current time
Dr. Ayman Safadi's visit to Riyadh is of particular importance given the delicate regional and international circumstances the region is experiencing. Shared political issues typically top the agenda of such visits, foremost among them the Palestinian question, where Saudi Arabia and Jordan share a common stance in supporting the rights of the Palestinian people and working towards a just and comprehensive peace based on Arab initiatives and international resolutions.
This visit is also expected to contribute to strengthening consultations on the security challenges facing the Middle East, in order to ensure the security and stability of Arab countries and achieve the higher interests of the two brotherly peoples.
Economic and strategic cooperation
On the economic front, the two countries are linked by a Saudi-Jordanian Coordination Council aimed at enhancing cooperation in investment, energy, and transportation. Saudi Arabia is one of the largest investors in Jordan, making the exchange of official visits between senior officials a cornerstone for overcoming obstacles to joint projects and driving economic development.
In conclusion, this visit proves once again that Riyadh remains a hub for joint Arab diplomatic action, and that Saudi-Jordanian coordination represents a cornerstone of the Arab national security system.
