Al-Sudais inaugurates the “Hidayah” center at the Prophet’s Mosque to serve visitors

In a move aimed at enhancing the religious services provided to pilgrims, His Excellency the President of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, inaugurated the “Hidayah” Center today. This new center is the latest of several initiatives launched by the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Prophet's Mosque to strengthen outreach and guidance services and facilitate access to authentic Islamic knowledge for visitors to the Prophet's Mosque from all over the world.

Hedayah Center: A noble mission and strategic goals

The “Hidayah” Center is a specialized and dynamic platform dedicated to distributing books and educational materials to visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque. Its primary aim is to enrich the spiritual and intellectual experience of visitors, ensuring their connection to sound Islamic knowledge based on moderation and balance, far removed from extremism and fanaticism. The materials offered are diverse, encompassing various international languages to guarantee that the noble message reaches all visitors, regardless of their nationality or culture.

The Prophet's Mosque: A historical beacon of science and knowledge

This step derives its significance from the historical and religious importance of the Prophet's Mosque, which has never been merely a place of prayer, but has been, since the time of the Prophet, a beacon of knowledge and a major Islamic university from which scholars and preachers have graduated. The inauguration of the “Hidayah” Center reaffirms this pioneering role of the Prophet's Mosque in spreading guidance and enlightenment, and in consolidating the principles of the true Islamic faith, thus strengthening the soft power of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the Qibla of Muslims and the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

Alignment with the Kingdom's Vision 2030

The inauguration of the center is an extension of the tireless efforts of the General Presidency for Religious Affairs in serving Islam and Muslims. It directly contributes to the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, specifically the Guests of God Service Program, which aims to facilitate the hosting of pilgrims and visitors and provide them with the highest quality services, while focusing on enriching their religious and cultural journey. Providing reliable and accessible religious content is a fundamental pillar in enhancing the visitor experience and deepening the spiritual impact of their visit.

Review of the 2025 report and digital transformation

In a related development, and as part of the ongoing monitoring of institutional performance, His Excellency Sheikh Al-Sudais reviewed the annual report of the General Presidency for Religious Affairs at the Prophet's Mosque for the year 2025. The report focused on efforts to enhance digital transformation and improve the efficiency of institutional services, and included a review of the most prominent initiatives and development programs that contributed to improving religious and enrichment services.

During his review of the report and performance indicators, His Excellency emphasized the importance of continued development and modernization, and investing in modern technologies and artificial intelligence to enhance the quality of work. This approach supports the Presidency's mission to serve the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, achieving the highest levels of professionalism and governance, in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership – may God support them – who spare no effort in supporting everything that serves the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors.
