The Yemeni Cultural Days concluded in Riyadh as part of the Global Harmony Initiative

The Saudi Ministry of Media concluded yesterday evening the activities of “Yemeni Cultural Days” which was held as part of the “Global Harmony 2” initiative, which was organized by the Ministry in strategic partnership with the General Entertainment Authority, and as a qualitative initiative of the Quality of Life Program, one of the most important programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The events witnessed a huge attendance of thousands of visitors, bringing together citizens and residents of different nationalities, in a scene that reflects the spirit of tolerance and coexistence that the Kingdom embraces.
For eight consecutive days, visitors enjoyed a unique cultural experience, immersing themselves in heritage and artistic performances that authentically reflected the deep-rooted historical and cultural ties between the brotherly peoples of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Yemen. These events contributed to strengthening cultural exchange and building bridges of knowledge between different segments of society, highlighting shared customs, traditions, and arts.
These events are of particular importance within the context of the cultural movement underway in the Kingdom, as they align with the goals of Vision 2030, which aims to improve quality of life and diversify entertainment and cultural options. The “Global Harmony” initiative serves as a vital platform to showcase the cultural diversity of residents in the Kingdom, further solidifying Saudi Arabia’s position as a global destination that embraces cultures and serves as a meeting point for human civilizations.
The “Yemeni Cultural Days” program featured a rich array of activities, encompassing over 40 diverse events. These ranged from folkloric performances and traditional dances reflecting the heritage of Yemen’s various governorates, to interactive segments designed for children, as well as special pavilions showcasing exquisite handicrafts and traditional costumes, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore the richness of Yemen’s authentic heritage firsthand.
In a related context and continuing this cultural approach, the “Culture of Pakistan” events will begin tomorrow, which are scheduled to showcase a bright aspect of the heritage of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, including its folk arts, traditional cuisine and diverse activities, to be the next stop on the journey of “global harmony”.
It is worth noting that the “Global Harmony 2” initiative aims to showcase the cultures of 14 different countries representing the most prominent expatriate communities in the Kingdom. Through these ongoing carnivals, the initiative seeks to highlight governmental and private efforts in enhancing quality of life and to reaffirm the Kingdom’s leading role in promoting global cultural dialogue.
