Al-Sarar Municipality completes the paving of streets in Hijrat Shafiya to standard specifications

In a move reflecting the municipal sector's commitment to developing infrastructure in remote and rural areas, Al-Sarar Municipality the completion of a vital project: the paving of streets in the rural settlement of Shafiya, covering a total area of 5,548 square meters . This project is an integral part of the municipality's strategic plans to improve the efficiency of the road network and enhance the urban landscape in the Eastern Province.

The mayor of Al-Sarar, Abdulrahman Al-Dosari , explained that the completed work adhered to the highest quality standards and approved technical specifications in the Kingdom. The project encompassed several precise technical phases, beginning with surveying the site and treating the soil, followed by leveling the subgrade layers to ensure a smooth surface, and concluding with the laying of the asphalt layers. These processes aim to guarantee the road's sustainability and its ability to withstand various climatic conditions and vehicle loads, thus minimizing the need for frequent maintenance in the near future.

This project is of particular importance with regard to traffic safety . Unpaved roads in rural areas often suffer from rugged terrain, which can damage vehicles and pose a danger to drivers, especially during the rainy season.
