The first group of guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Hajj, Umrah, and visitation have arrived in Madinah, the radiant city, after Allah blessed them with the performance of the Hajj rituals for the year 1445 AH with ease and tranquility. This program, overseen and implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, reflects the generous care that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provides to serve Islam and Muslims from all corners of the earth. This year, the guests represent more than 104 countries worldwide.

Ongoing royal patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program for Hajj and Umrah is a pioneering initiative launched decades ago to enable thousands of Muslims to perform Hajj and visit the holy sites at the King's personal expense. This annual program targets influential Islamic figures, scholars, muftis, and the families of martyrs and those injured in action from various countries. Since its inception, the program has enjoyed unwavering support from the wise leadership, making it a bridge for human and cultural exchange between the Kingdom and Muslim nations, and an annual forum embodying the unity and solidarity of the Muslim Ummah.

A rich cultural and religious program in the city of Medina

Upon the guests' arrival in Madinah, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs immediately began implementing a comprehensive cultural and educational program specially prepared for this spiritual journey. The program includes performing prayers at the Prophet's Mosque, paying their respects to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his two companions (may God be pleased with them), and visiting the Rawdah (the area between the Prophet's grave and his pulpit). It also includes field trips to prominent historical and archaeological sites in Madinah, such as Quba Mosque, Mount Uhud, and the King Fahd Complex for Printing the Holy Quran, to witness firsthand the immense efforts dedicated to serving the Holy Quran. Additionally, the program features visits to several museums that showcase the Prophet's life and teachings.

Regional and international dimensions of strengthening Islamic solidarity

The significance of this program extends beyond its immediate religious dimension to encompass profound regional and international dimensions. By bringing together Islamic leaders from 104 countries under one roof, the program contributes to strengthening the values of moderation and tolerance, and building bridges of dialogue and cooperation to address the challenges facing the Muslim world. This event also reinforces the leading role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a leader in joint Islamic action and custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, leaving a deep and positive impact on the guests, which they will carry back to their communities and homelands upon their return.

Upon their arrival, the guests expressed their profound gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister – may God protect them – for this generous gesture and exceptional hospitality that enabled them to perform the Hajj rituals with ease and comfort. They also commended the high-quality services and outstanding organization provided by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance throughout their stay in the holy sites until their arrival in Madinah, praying to God Almighty to preserve the Kingdom and perpetuate its security and stability.
