The vision of the Saudi leadership in ensuring the success of the Hajj season and serving the pilgrims
The directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince are an extension of the historical and pioneering role that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has played since its founding by King Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God have mercy on him. The Kingdom has placed serving the Two Holy Mosques and caring for pilgrims and Umrah performers at the forefront of its national priorities. Over the decades, the Holy Sites have witnessed unprecedented mega-expansion projects, including the expansion of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, the development of the Jamarat Bridge, and the launch of the Holy Sites Metro, all of which directly contribute to facilitating the movement of crowds and ensuring their safety and security while performing the rituals.
Integration of security and preventive plans for the safety of pilgrims
The Cabinet emphasized the importance of continuing to provide the highest quality services and best facilities for pilgrims in Makkah, Madinah, and the Holy Sites, as well as at all air, land, and sea entry points. In this regard, the efforts of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the Ministry of Health, and other service providers are integrated to implement the approved organizational, security, and preventative plans. This high-level coordination aims to provide a healthy and safe environment that allows pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind, benefiting from modern digital technologies and innovative initiatives such as the "Makkah Route Initiative," which facilitates entry procedures for pilgrims from their home countries.
International and regional dimensions enhance the Kingdom's standing
The importance of these efforts extends beyond the local and organizational levels to encompass crucial regional and international dimensions. The Kingdom's annual success in managing the world's largest human gathering solidifies its leading position in the Islamic world and reflects its exceptional ability to manage logistical, security, and health crises. These efforts are widely appreciated and praised by various countries and international organizations, strengthening cooperation and solidarity among Muslim peoples and reaffirming the Kingdom's ongoing commitment to safeguarding the interests of Muslims and facilitating their performance of religious rites with the highest standards of quality and safety.
