The Sudanese Cultural Week in Riyadh concluded amidst a large public turnout

The Ministry of Information concluded the activities of the Sudanese Culture Week , which was held in Al-Suwaidi Park in the capital, Riyadh, as part of the “Global Harmony 2” initiative, which was organized by the Ministry in partnership with the General Entertainment Authority and the Quality of Life Program, amidst a large public attendance and exceptional interaction that reflects the depth of the fraternal ties between the two peoples.

Heritage atmosphere and wide public interaction

The closing events witnessed a remarkable turnout from various nationalities, particularly members of the Sudanese community residing in the Kingdom, transforming Al-Suwaidi Park into an open-air stage for arts and heritage. A select group of Sudanese artists and influencers participated in the events, along with more than 70 performers and folk artists.

The participants presented artistic displays and musical performances that embodied the cultural and geographical diversity of Sudan, where the audience enthusiastically interacted with the rhythms of the drums and folkloric dances that evoked Sudanese popular memory, and in which feelings of joy were mixed with pride in identity, amidst ululations and welcoming phrases that reflected the spirit of familiarity and love.

The depth of Saudi-Sudanese relations

This significant interaction is a culmination of the deep-rooted historical relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Sudan, where the Sudanese community is one of the largest and most integrated expatriate communities in the Kingdom. These events were not merely artistic performances, but rather a bridge for cultural exchange and a platform for strengthening bonds of brotherhood, reaffirming the Kingdom's position as a hub for diverse cultures and a key supporter of the values ​​of peaceful coexistence.

Global Harmony Initiative: A Vision to Enhance Quality of Life

The Sudanese Cultural Week marked the culmination of the 49-day "Global Harmony 2" initiative, which showcased 14 global cultures representing residents of the Kingdom. This initiative, stemming from the Kingdom's Vision 2030, aims to enhance quality of life and highlight the rich cultural diversity embraced by the Kingdom's cities.

The initiative achieved record numbers, with the participation of about 3,500 exhibitors and performers who presented more than 1,200 cultural and musical performances, in addition to the participation of 400 exhibitors in the cultural pavilions and bazaars that displayed various products, handicrafts and popular foods, providing visitors with an integrated cultural experience that reflects the image of the Kingdom as a leading global model in tolerance and social harmony.
