King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center provides assistance in 4 countries

As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing humanitarian efforts, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center to provide diverse relief assistance, encompassing food, health, and water sectors, in four different countries: Sudan, Yemen, Chad, and Mali. This reflects the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to standing with affected and needy populations around the world and alleviating the hardships they face.
The Kingdom's leading role in global humanitarian work
Since its establishment in 2015 under the generous guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the center has undertaken the responsibility of unifying Saudi relief efforts and delivering them according to the highest international standards. This humanitarian institution represents the Kingdom's charitable arm, with its impact extending to both regional and international levels. The importance of this aid is highlighted at a time when many countries are experiencing economic crises, armed conflicts, and natural disasters, making rapid relief intervention crucial for saving lives and alleviating suffering. The continued flow of aid directly contributes to strengthening social and economic stability in targeted communities and underscores the Kingdom's position as one of the world's largest donors of humanitarian assistance.
Supporting food security for displaced people in Sudan
In response to the current humanitarian situation, the center distributed 1,500 cartons of dates to displaced families in the localities of Sennar, Dinder, and Al-Suki in Sennar State, Sudan. These distributions benefited 7,865 individuals as part of the “Madad” initiative, dedicated to supporting the Sudanese people for the year 2026, reflecting the commitment to providing essential food needs during times of crisis and displacement.
King Salman Center for Medical and Water Relief Services in Yemen
In Yemen, interventions range from healthcare to environmental sanitation. The center's mobile clinic in Razih District, Sa'dah Governorate, provided medical services to 293 beneficiaries in one week. Services included consultations at the infectious disease control clinic (117 patients), the emergency clinic (41 individuals), internal medicine (97 beneficiaries), and reproductive health services, in addition to an awareness and education section. Medications were also dispensed to 262 people.
In other news, the center continued its water supply and environmental sanitation project in Al-Khawkhah District, Al-Hudaydah Governorate. A total of 1,110,000 liters of water suitable for domestic use and 282,000 liters of potable water were pumped, along with 110 waste removal operations from IDP camps and the draining of stagnant water pools. This project served 80,553 individuals and protected them from waterborne diseases.
Enhancing food security in Chad and Mali
The bridges of goodness extended to include the African continent, where 250 cartons of dates were distributed to the most needy groups in the eastern Mayo Kebbi region of the Republic of Chad, benefiting 1,500 individuals as part of a project to distribute 800 tons of dates.
In the Republic of Mali, the center delivered 50 tons of dates as a gift from the Kingdom. The handover took place in the capital, Bamako, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Mali, Abdullah bin Saleh Sabr, and the Malian Minister Plenipotentiary for Food Security, Ridwan Ag Mohamed Ali. Malian officials expressed their deep gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince for this generous support, which is part of the relief programs directed to brotherly and friendly countries to assist the most vulnerable families in various parts of the world.
