Absher Conference 2025 Awards: Honoring the winners in 10 technology tracks

In a move reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to enhancing its digital infrastructure, and as part of the Absher 2025 conference , which is the most prominent event in the field of security technology and electronic services, the conference witnessed the organization of the Technology Awards ceremony for 2025. This event comes as a culmination of a long journey of digital transformation led by the Ministry of Interior, which has made the “Absher” platform a global model to be emulated in providing government services.
Official sponsorship and technical competition
Under the auspices of Tuwaiq Academy, the knowledge and technology partner, His Royal Highness Prince Bandar bin Abdullah bin Mishari, Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs, honored the winning entities from the regional emirates, security sectors, and departments affiliated with the Ministry. This recognition comes in appreciation of the exceptional efforts exerted by these sectors in adopting the latest technological solutions, which directly contributes to raising the efficiency of security work and facilitating the lives of citizens and residents, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 .
Award tracks: Comprehensiveness in criteria
The awards were not limited to one aspect, but included (10) main themes covering all aspects of modern technical work, namely: strategy, artificial intelligence, collaborative services, channel unification, technological innovation, cloud computing, building technical capabilities, supporting digital transformation, technical excellence, and the Outstanding Individuals Award.
List of winners in the strategic and artificial intelligence categories
The results showed strong competition between sectors, with the following results:
- The strategy's focus: The General Directorate of Border Guards secured first place, followed by the Ministry of Interior's Agency for Security Regiments Affairs, and then the General Directorate of Drug Control in third place.
- In the field of artificial intelligence, the General Directorate of Passports came in first place, the General Directorate of Civil Defense came in second, and the General Directorate of Medical Services came in third.
Excellence in collaborative services and channel unification
In the context of enhancing collaborative work, the General Directorate of Human Resources achieved first place in the shared services category, followed by the Ministry of Interior's staff clubs in second place, and the Ministry's Agency for Military Affairs in third. As for the unified channels , the Ministry of Interior's Agency for Civil Affairs took the lead, followed by the General Directorate of Passports, and then the General Directorate of Financial Affairs and Support Services.
Innovation and cloud computing
In the area of technological innovation, the National Center for Security Operations won first place, the General Directorate of Prisons second place, and the Data Analysis Center third place. In the field of cloud computing , the Special Forces for Security and Protection excelled, achieving first place, followed by the General Directorate of Border Guards, and then the Special Forces for Facilities Security.
Capacity Building and Digital Transformation Awards
Regarding technical capacity building, the Ministry of Interior's development program ranked first, international partnership programs second, and the Special Forces for Environmental Security third. As for supporting digital transformation , the Ministry of Interior's Agency for Security Capabilities came in first, followed by the General Directorate of Air Services, and then the Ministry's Agency for Regional Affairs.
Institutional and individual excellence
The ceremony concluded with the honoring of the winners in the technical excellence category, where the General Directorate of Public Security succeeded in achieving first place, the Emirate of Tabuk region came in second place, and King Fahd Security College came in third place.
On the individual level in the distinguished category , national talents who made a difference were honored, with Colonel Fahd bin Jazaa Al-Mutrafi (Passports) winning first place, Lieutenant Colonel Hamad bin Saud Al-Dhiyabi (Prisons) winning second place, and Colonel Badr bin Mohammed Al-Shehri (Civil Defense) winning third place.
