King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center launches project to support educational services in Yemen

Launched King Salman Relief Center The humanitarian work project “Supporting the continuity of educational services and the recovery of the education sector from the effects of the crisis and displacement in Yemen“In cooperation with the International Organization for Migration.”.
The project includes the rehabilitation and expansion of (12) schools, including (4) schools in Aden Governorate, (3) schools in Lahj Governorate, and (5) schools in Taiz Governorate, which included the construction of (44) classrooms and two administrative offices, and the rehabilitation of (120) classrooms, (10) laboratories, (13) administrative offices, and (5) school supply stores, in addition to the construction of (10) toilets, and the rehabilitation of (124) others.

Supporting sustainable energy

In the context of supporting sustainable energy, the King Salman Relief Center will provide (8) schools with solar energy systems. The schools and administrative offices will also be furnished with (1,030) double school desks, (98) whiteboards, administrative equipment and technical devices including printers and electrical connections. (18,000) male and female students will benefit from the project.

The head of the technical office at the Ministry of Education, Omar Baslim, praised the project funded by the King Salman Relief Center, stressing that it represents an important addition to the expansion and rehabilitation of government schools, appreciating the humanitarian and developmental role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting the educational process and enhancing its stability.

This comes as part of a series of relief and humanitarian projects implemented by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Relief Center, to improve the educational system and develop the infrastructure of educational institutions in various Yemeni governorates.
