Jeddah: First flights carrying beneficiaries of the "Makkah Route" initiative arrive from the Maldives

The first flights carrying beneficiaries have arrived “Makkah Route” initiative From the Republic Maldives Via Velana International Airport, to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah Governorate.
The “Makkah Route” initiative aims to provide high-quality services toGuests of the Most Merciful The countries benefiting from it receive them and complete their procedures in their countries easily and conveniently, starting from taking biometric data and issuing the Hajj visa electronically, passing through completing passport procedures at the airport of the country of departure, after verifying the availability of health requirements, and coding and sorting luggage according to transportation and accommodation arrangements in the Kingdom, and moving directly to buses to deliver them to their places of residence in the regions of Makkah and Madinah, on dedicated routes, and the partner agencies take over delivering their luggage to them.

“Makkah Route” initiative
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Interior is implementing the initiative in its eighth year in cooperation with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Health, Hajj and Umrah, Media, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Zakat and Tax Authority, Customs, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the General Authority for Endowments, the Guests of God Service Program, and the General Directorate of Passports, in integration with the digital partner (stc Group). Since its launch in (1438 AH/ 2017 AD), the initiative has served (1,254,994) pilgrims.
