وأفادت هيئة المسح الجيولوجي الأمريكية بأن مركز الزلزال وقع على بعد ميل (1.6 كيلومتر) من بولدر كريك في جبال سانتا كروز.
ولم ترد أي تقارير فورية عن وقوع أضرار خطيرة.
