Hajj season: The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques raises its readiness to care for lost pilgrims and safeguard luggage

The authority explained that these 21 centers operate around the clock without interruption within a unified operational system that provides a diverse range of humanitarian, guidance, and logistical services, including spatial and awareness guidance to help pilgrims move smoothly within the corridors of the Two Holy Mosques and guide them to the rituals in the correct Sharia ways, in addition to providing humanitarian and communication support by answering pilgrims’ inquiries and guiding them in several living international languages that eliminate communication barriers.
The Commission for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques added that the centers undertake the tasks of managing the lost items file through fast and organized technical procedures that ensure the monitoring, preservation and return of lost items to their owners with ease, in addition to providing dedicated and directed services to support the elderly and people with disabilities, which contributes to facilitating their physical movement and their benefit from all field services.

Extreme care
The Authority emphasized the provision of exceptional care for lost children and women during peak times and crowds, receiving and caring for them in well-equipped and comfortable facilities under organized and secure security procedures until they can be contacted and officially handed over to their families. This enhances the sense of security and psychological well-being of pilgrims within the holiest of places.
To improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in the main corridors and prayer areas, the project introduced an advanced luggage storage service for pilgrims, along with the activation of modern digital communication channels that facilitate quick and efficient access to services. The Authority provided the geographical location of pilgrim care centers via QR code, enabling pilgrims to locate the nearest service center using their smartphones and reach it within seconds.
The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques confirmed the readiness of these centers and their employees to operate at full capacity during the Hajj season, in support of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to enrich the experience of the pilgrims and raise the quality of services provided to them through advanced and institutional service models that ensure the safety and comfort of all.
