Urgent: The Ministry of Commerce puts an end to delivery chaos... No secret code required before inspecting the shipment

The Ministry of Commerce has mandated delivery companies allow consumers to open and inspect packages before handing over the delivery confirmation code to the delivery person. This proactive regulatory step aims to protect shoppers' rights and prevent the receipt of damaged products.
The new regulation explicitly prohibits requiring customers to hand over the delivery confirmation code until they have been granted full access to open the package and verify the condition and conformity of the purchased products.
Chambers of Commerce, led by the Eastern Province Chamber, promptly circulated this decision to all their member companies and institutions operating in the logistics and trade sectors, following an official letter from the Federation of Saudi Chambers to implement the procedure without delay.
