89 million riyals allocated to implement giant water projects to serve 6 mountainous governorates in Jazan

announced The National Water Company the completion and commissioning of a water transmission and pumping system to serve the mountainous governorates of the Jazan region, at a total cost exceeding 89 million riyals.
The company explained that this strategic project aims to ensure the provision of sustainable, high-quality water services, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The new system includes transmission lines, reservoirs, and distribution stations designed to meet the needs of residents in rugged terrain. This enhances the efficiency of water resource distribution in the mountainous sector and ensures the continuity of water supplies to citizens and residents with high operational efficiency, adhering to the highest international standards followed in the Kingdom's water sector.
The completed projects included over 41 kilometers of pipelines connecting the main pumping stations and distribution networks to the operational reservoirs.
Construction also included the building of two operational reservoirs with a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters each to ensure stable pumping and provide a strategic water reserve.
The company stated that this advanced infrastructure aims to enhance operational in challenging mountainous terrain, thereby reducing water loss and ensuring the delivery of clean water to all targeted locations within the project's geographical scope, which covers vast areas of the region's highlands.

Serving thousands of beneficiaries

The National Water Company confirmed that these projects will serve more than 89,000 beneficiaries in six mountainous governorates: Al-Raith, Al-Aydabi, Al-Ardah, Haroub, Al-Dayer, and Fifa.
The system includes the operation of six tanker filling stations with a daily distribution capacity of approximately 20,000 cubic meters to meet the needs of residents in these governorates.
This achievement contributes to improving the level of water services provided and facilitating access for beneficiaries, thus supporting urban and population development in the mountainous regions of Jazan and fulfilling the leadership's aspirations to provide a decent standard of living and essential services for all members of society.
