The ambassador was briefed on the progress of work in the initiative hall, and the procedures to facilitate and ease the journey of the guests of God to perform the Hajj rituals, praising the team working on the “Makkah Route” initiative and the services they provide to the pilgrims of the House of God benefiting from the initiative.
Makkah Route Initiative
The initiative aims to provide high-quality services to pilgrims from participating countries by receiving them and facilitating their arrival and departure procedures in their home countries with ease.
This begins with collecting biometric data and issuing Hajj visas electronically, followed by completing passport control procedures at the departure airport after verifying health requirements, and then sorting and labeling luggage according to transportation and accommodation arrangements in the Kingdom.
They will also be transferred directly to buses to transport them to their accommodations in the Makkah and Madinah regions, via dedicated routes, while partner agencies will deliver their luggage to them.
