Umm Al-Qura University organizes the second scientific forum for postgraduate students

The forum aims to: promote intellectual awareness andNational belongingPreventing extremism among young people; in addition to enabling graduate students to participate scientifically in addressing intellectual issues according to a scientific and methodological vision; as well as training them to participate in scientific forums and conferences, and developing their research capabilities, and their skills in scientific writing and presentation.

Main themes
The forum will address 30 research papers discussing three main themes: issues of intellectual awareness and national belonging, the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in addressing intellectual deviations, and mechanisms for protecting youth from intellectual extremism, in order to contribute to strengthening national values and consolidating the concepts of moderation and centrism.
The President of Umm Al-Qura University, Professor Maadi bin Mohammed Al-Mathhab, affirmed that the Second Scientific Forum for Graduate Students embodies the university's commitment to building intellectual awareness and strengthening national identity among university students. This is achieved through supporting purposeful scientific research and empowering graduate students to discuss contemporary intellectual issues using a sound scientific methodology.
He noted that the university is keen to provide a stimulating academic environment that contributes to consolidating the values of moderation and balance, and enhances the role of universities in intellectually safeguarding society.
Scientific platform
Dr. Saleh Al-Furaih, supervisor of the Intellectual Awareness Unit at Umm Al-Qura University, explained that the forum represents a scientific platform that contributes to highlighting the efforts of graduate students and researchers in addressing intellectual issues and promoting a culture of dialogue and national belonging.
He indicated that the forum, through its research papers, discusses a number of topics related to intellectual awareness and preventing extremism, in addition to reviewing the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting intellectual deviations and establishing the values of moderation and tolerance, thus contributing to preparing conscious and capable research cadres who can serve the nation and society.
