She noted that she held four urgent coordination meetings to support a number of vital development projects, as part of her ongoing efforts to support national systems and enable the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

These efforts came within the Authority’s regulatory role in issuing the necessary permits to practice aerial photography and surveying, marine surveying, panoramic photography, and similar technologies, in accordance with the approved regulatory and technical requirements, in order to ensure that geospatial work is aligned with the relevant requirements, and to support the continued implementation of vital projects with efficiency and reliability.
The efforts reflected the Geomatics Authority’s ability to respond to the urgent requirements related to the Hajj season and national development projects, by enhancing coordination with security agencies and the beneficiary and implementing sectors, and addressing the challenges related to the implementation of geomatics work, in a way that supports the national interest and enables development work.
Improving governance
Through its regulatory roles, the Authority has contributed to enhancing the integration of work among government entities, raising the level of governance, avoiding duplication, and enabling the use of accurate and reliable geospatial information to support planning, operations, and decision-making.
The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information is responsible for regulating, developing, supervising, and monitoring the surveying, geospatial information, and related imaging sectors in the Kingdom to achieve quality and improve performance.
