Two citizens were arrested for committing two violations related to hunting two endangered wildlife species

The Special Forces for Environmental Security stressed the commitment to the environmental system and its executive regulations that prohibit hunting wildlife, stressing that the penalty for hunting endangered wildlife is imprisonment for (10) years and a fine of up to (10) million riyals, or one of these two penalties, and the penalty for using firearms in hunting without a license is a fine of (80,000) riyals, and the penalty for hunting the Arabian gazelle is a fine of (35,000) riyals, and the penalty for hunting the Arabian gazelle is a fine of (25,000) riyals, and the penalty for violating the entry of reserves without a license is a fine of (5,000) riyals.

Grazing in the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve
The Special Forces for Environmental Security apprehended a citizen for violating environmental regulationsby grazing 30 camels in prohibited areas within the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve. Legal procedures were applied against him. The forces confirmed that the penalty for grazing camels is a fine of 500 riyals per camel.
Exploiting the deposits in Medina
The Special Forces for Environmental Security apprehended two Indian residents for violating environmental regulations by exploiting sediment in the Madinah region. Legal procedures were applied to them.
The forces also stated that two pieces of equipment used for excavating and transporting soil were seized.
Reporting violations
The forces urged reporting any cases that constitute an attack on the environment or wildlife to the numbers (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom, and all reports will be treated with complete confidentiality without the slightest responsibility on the part of the reporter.
