6 routes and 24 initiatives to serve female visitors to the Holy Mosque during Ramadan

As part of its extensive preparations for the holy month of Ramadan, the Women's Affairs Agency at the Grand Mosque announced its full readiness to welcome the blessed month through the launch of a comprehensive strategic plan. This plan is based on six main pillars and includes 24 high-quality initiatives, specifically designed to enhance the experience of female visitors to the Grand Mosque and ensure the provision of the highest quality religious and guidance services befitting the sanctity of the place and the significance of the time.
Exceptional preparations for a busy religious season
This announcement comes at a time when Mecca is witnessing the arrival of millions of pilgrims and worshippers from around the world, as Ramadan represents the peak of the religious season at the Two Holy Mosques. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Presidency for Religious Affairs, is working to utilize all available human and technological resources to ensure the smooth flow of movement and provide a serene and spiritually enriching atmosphere. Services for women are of paramount importance due to the increasing number of female visitors, necessitating meticulous organization that respects privacy and provides the necessary religious and educational support.
Details of the qualitative tracks and initiatives
The agency explained that this year's operational plan is comprehensive and diverse, with six tracks designed to cover all aspects of a female visitor's journey within the Grand Mosque. These tracks include: awareness and guidance, scholarly and educational affairs, enrichment and volunteering, women's empowerment, public relations and institutional communication, and a quality and development track. This system aims to maximize the spiritual and intellectual impact, disseminate sound religious and behavioral awareness, and focus on providing enrichment programs that address the needs of female visitors.
Empowering women and keeping pace with Vision 2030
These initiatives align directly with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which places great emphasis on serving pilgrims and enriching their religious and cultural experience. The "Women's Empowerment" and "Volunteerism" tracks also reflect the growing role of Saudi women in crowd management and providing field and guidance services within the Grand Mosque. The agency is working to leverage volunteer efforts to provide support services that contribute to organizing women's prayer areas and guiding female visitors with ease and convenience.
Sustainable impact and advanced services
The agency emphasized that this plan is not merely a seasonal measure, but rather an extension of ongoing efforts aimed at achieving a lasting religious and intellectual impact. Through these initiatives, the Presidency of Religious Affairs seeks to utilize technology and modern methods in guidance and instruction, thus facilitating the performance of rituals for female pilgrims in an atmosphere of tranquility and peace, while adhering to the highest standards of quality and institutional excellence.
