The ceremony was held under the patronage of His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud , Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Academy's Board of Trustees, and in the presence of his deputy, Professor Hamed bin Mohammed Fayez, amidst a distinguished gathering of diplomats and academics.

The total value of the prizes reached 1.6 million Saudi Riyals , with each winner in the four categories (individuals and institutions) receiving 200,000 Riyals in recognition of their exceptional efforts in serving the Arabic language.

  • The Arabic Language Teaching and Learning Branch: Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed Adel Mahmoud Al-Batal (United States) was awarded in the individual category, and the “International Curricula Foundation” (Saudi Arabia) was awarded in the institutional category, in recognition of their innovative modern educational curricula.
  • Arabic Language Computing Branch: In confirmation of technological leadership, King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (Saudi Arabia) won in the institutional category, and Dr. Ahmed Miloud Kharsi (Algeria) won in the individual category, in recognition of their contributions to adapting technology to serve the language.
  • The Arabic Language Research and Studies Branch: The award was shared by Dr. Ramzi Munir Baalbaki (Lebanon) and Dr. Saad Abdel Aziz Maslouh (Egypt) in the individual category, while the “Educational Center for the Arabic Language for the Gulf States” (UAE) won the institutional award.
  • The branch for spreading linguistic awareness: The award was won by Dr. Mazen Abdul Qader Al-Mubarak (Syria) and the “National Coalition for the Arabic Language” (Morocco).
