Adding 566,000 beds to boost capacity
This year, the Ministry of Tourism assumes full responsibility for overseeing the pilgrim accommodation sector in the Holy City of Mecca. In a significant achievement, the Minister of Tourism announced the success of the initiatives implemented by the Ministry, most notably the launch of the temporary licensing service for pilgrim accommodations. This strategic step has contributed to adding more than 566,000 beds to the pilgrim hospitality sector, within a robust regulatory framework and clear standards that ensure improved service quality and a diverse range of accommodation options for pilgrims, thus facilitating the smooth and efficient accommodation of increasing numbers.
