Absher has clarified an important point: the actual renewal of a resident's passport is done exclusively through their country's embassy in Saudi Arabia. After receiving the new passport from the embassy, the Absher platform then updates the information and links the new passport to the residency record.
The passport information update process is carried out through the following steps:
- Accessing the sponsor's (beneficiary's) account on the Absher platform.
- Go to (Employment Services) then (Services).
- Select (Update passport information for residents).
- Enter the new passport details and confirm the request.
This step is necessary to ensure the legality of the worker’s status and to facilitate travel, exit and return procedures, and to avoid any fines that may result from the passport data not matching the Saudi passport records.
Issuing Saudi passports to those under 15 years of age

- One of the parents accesses their verified account in Absher.

- Select the family member for whom the passport is to be issued, complete the data, and upload the personal photo according to the approved conditions.
