Historically, the Kingdom's transportation sector has undergone radical transformations coinciding with the launch of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to transform the Kingdom into a global logistics hub connecting three continents. In this context, regulatory bodies have assumed the responsibility of restructuring this vital sector, which previously required standardized quality and safety criteria. Since their establishment, these bodies have worked to enact legislation and develop regulations that ensure a competitive and fair business environment, paving the way for massive investments in land, sea, and rail transport infrastructure and guaranteeing the long-term sustainability of these investments.
Intensive monitoring campaigns by the Public Transport Authority
These warnings were based on precise monitoring statistics resulting from over 434,000 field and electronic inspections covering land, sea, and rail transport activities across the Kingdom during March. These inspections included over 425,874 inspections in the land transport sector, more than 8,268 in the sea transport sector, and inspection visits to 77 rail stations. These impressive figures reflect the ongoing performance and diligent efforts to monitor transport activities and ensure compliance with regulations, thus contributing to the provision of safe and reliable services for users.

Land transport recorded a compliance rate of 91%, while maritime transport reached approximately 99%, and rail transport achieved a perfect 100% compliance rate. However, more than 80,581 violations were recorded in land transport activities, while only 8 violations were recorded in the maritime transport sector during the past month.
