Registration for student solidarity benefits begins: Excluded categories and eligibility requirements

The Takaful Charitable Foundation in Saudi Arabia announced the start of registration for its financial aid programs for the upcoming academic year, beginning today, Sunday, and continuing until the 24th of Sha'ban. This announcement is part of the foundation's ongoing efforts to organize support operations and ensure that aid reaches its intended beneficiaries among public school students, according to precise mechanisms and specific eligibility criteria.

Categories excluded from financial support

In its efforts to rationalize charitable spending and prevent duplication in aid disbursement, the foundation identified three main categories that were excluded from the eligibility lists for this year, namely:

  • Students who receive other financial rewards from the Ministry of Education, in order to ensure that opportunities are distributed to the largest possible segment of those in need.
  • Third-year high school students, given that the support is intended for the next academic year, in which they will have graduated and moved on to university or the labor market.
  • Students who do not possess valid official identification documents issued by the competent official authorities.

Registration mechanism and timeframe

The foundation explained that the system relies primarily on the school's role in accurately identifying students in need. The school administration registers the student's initial data and identifies their guardian. Once registered, the guardian receives a text message and is given a period of no more than five days to complete the online form. If there is no response within this period, the school has the right to replace the student with another from the waiting list, provided that the reason for removal is documented to ensure transparency.

Special priority for the children of fallen soldiers

In recognition of the immense sacrifices made by the nation's heroes, the directives emphasized giving the highest priority in registration to the children of fallen soldiers. The institution affirmed that including this cherished group in the support program does not affect the school's allocated quota nor is it part of the general admissions process; rather, it is considered a societal right and an acknowledgment of their fathers' sacrifice.

The role of solidarity in promoting educational stability

The Takaful Charitable Foundation is a vital pillar of support for education in the Kingdom, with its programs aimed at bridging the financial gap that might hinder some students from continuing their studies. The foundation's role extends beyond direct financial assistance to include school nutrition and uniform programs, contributing to a reduction in school dropout rates and enhancing the academic performance of students from low-income families.

Digital transformation and spending efficiency

The new electronic system adopted by the foundation reflects the significant development in the digital infrastructure of charitable work in Saudi Arabia. The system's smart features, such as the automatic transfer of data from previous beneficiaries and the notification of schools about siblings receiving aid, enable the highest degree of fairness in distribution. This technological integration also contributes to the creation of an accurate database that assists decision-makers in the Ministry of Education and other relevant bodies in studying social cases and providing sustainable solutions for needy families, in line with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 to develop human capital and ensure equal educational opportunities for all.
