The Governor of Taif inspects the readiness of Al-Sail Al-Kabir and Wadi Mahram Miqat for Ramadan

As part of the intensive preparations for the Umrah season during the holy month of Ramadan, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Taif, conducted a comprehensive inspection tour that included the Al-Sayl Al-Kabir (Qarn Al-Manazil) Miqat and the Wadi Mahram Miqat and Mosque. This visit aimed to assess firsthand the readiness of the facilities and services provided to pilgrims and to ensure the utmost comfort and ease for those arriving from various regions and countries.
Details of the inspection tour and operational services
During his tour, His Highness the Governor of Taif reviewed the operational and organizational plans developed by the relevant authorities to manage crowds and regulate traffic flow during the peak times of Ramadan. The tour included an inspection of the integrated services system, from reception and awareness programs to health, security, and municipal services. His Highness also reviewed the progress of the restoration and renovation project for the old Miqat Mosque in Wadi Mahram. This vital project aims to preserve the mosque's architectural identity while modernizing its facilities to accommodate the increasing number of worshippers, as part of the ongoing development projects in the governorate.
The historical and religious significance of the Taif prayer times
The Miqats of Taif hold great strategic and historical importance. The Miqat of Qarn al-Manazil (Al-Sayl al-Kabir) is designated for the people of Najd, the Eastern Province, and the Gulf States, and is one of the five Miqats established by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Miqat of Wadi Mahram serves those arriving via the mountainous Al-Hada road. These Miqats are considered the eastern gateway to the Holy City of Mecca, making their readiness crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of pilgrims to the Grand Mosque, especially during peak seasons.
Integration with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the Guests of God Service Program
These field initiatives are fully aligned with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, specifically the "Guests of God Service Program," which aims to facilitate the hosting of pilgrims to the Two Holy Mosques and provide them with the best possible services. Government agencies in Taif are working in complete harmony to enhance the efficiency of the digital and service infrastructure at the designated times, ensuring a smooth and safe spiritual experience. At the conclusion of his tour, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nahar emphasized the necessity of integrated efforts among all government and service sectors, affirming that serving the pilgrims is a great honor and a national responsibility that demands dedication and excellence, reflecting the wise leadership's – may God support them – commitment to the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors.
