Taibah University launches Taibah Thon program to support innovation and entrepreneurship

Taibah University in Madinah launched Taibah Thon ” program, a comprehensive initiative aimed at discovering and nurturing talented students in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. The program directly targets male and female students from various universities in the Madinah region, serving as a genuine incubator for creative ideas.
Strategic partnership with “Monshaat”
This launch is the result of a strategic partnership between Taibah University and the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at). This partnership is a cornerstone for the program’s success, as both entities strive to bridge the gap between academic education and the demands of the entrepreneurial job market. The partnership provides participants with the opportunity to benefit from Monsha’at’s extensive experience in supporting startups, thereby enhancing the chances of student ideas succeeding and transforming into sustainable businesses.
The context of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the knowledge economy
The Taybah Thon program cannot be viewed in isolation from the comprehensive development drive underway in Saudi Arabia under Vision 2030. The Kingdom places great importance on human capital development programs, which aim to prepare a globally competitive national youth. Universities play a pivotal role in this context, transforming from mere centers of knowledge dissemination into environments that foster innovation and cultivate entrepreneurs. Investing in the young minds of Madinah is a crucial step towards strengthening local content and diversifying national income sources away from oil.
