Issuing a visitor report via Absher: 5 steps to complete the service electronically

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing an accelerated digital transformation aimed at automating government services and facilitating procedures for citizens, residents and visitors, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The “Absher” platform is the most prominent technological arm of the Ministry of Interior, as it continues to provide innovative electronic solutions that save time and effort, and eliminate the need for beneficiaries to visit government offices to complete their routine transactions.

Visitor Report Issuance Service via Absher

As part of its expansion of services, the Absher platform has launched a distinguished electronic service enabling citizens, residents, and visitors to obtain a "Visitor Report." This report contains the visitor's basic data and can be printed and used in various official procedures. This service aims to facilitate data documentation and provide a reliable official reference.

Steps to complete the service:
The platform explained through its official accounts that completing this service requires following these steps:

  • Log in to the beneficiary's account on the Absher electronic platform.
  • Go to the "My Services" tab.
  • Select "Public Services" from the menu.
  • Click on the "Absher Reports" option.
  • Select "Visitor Report", then review and print the report.

Additional reports and accommodation information

The reporting services are not limited to visitors; they also include residents. A report detailing a resident's length of stay in the Kingdom can be generated by following the same procedure and selecting "Resident Length of Stay Report." The platform has identified seven types of reports that users can print and utilize:

  1. My data report (my report).
  2. Family member data report.
  3. Vehicle report.
  4. Traffic violation report.
  5. Traffic accident report.
  6. Travel log data report.
  7. Domestic worker report.

National ID requirements and name change

On another note, and within the civil status services available through the platform, the precise criteria for renewing the national identity photo were clarified to ensure its acceptance, which include the presence of a white background, and that the photo be recent (not exceeding 6 months), with clear facial features and free of expressions and makeup, and ensuring the absence of light reflections (red eyes).

The platform also offers an online service for changing the first name of citizens or their family members (under 18 years of age). This service is free and immediate for names listed in the Civil Status records, while it takes five working days for names not listed. Two changes are permitted, provided the second change reverts to the previous name, and the new name must comply with the approved name registration regulations.

This diversity in services reflects the keenness of the concerned authorities in the Kingdom to raise the efficiency of government work and improve the quality of life by providing unified and comprehensive digital channels.
