A new sewage project in Wadi Al-Dawasir will serve 16,000 beneficiaries

The National Water Company announced the completion of a vital wastewater network project in Wadi Al-Dawasir Governorate, Riyadh Region, at a total cost of nearly 70 million Saudi riyals. This achievement is part of the company's comprehensive strategy to enhance the Kingdom's water and environmental infrastructure, in line with the urban and population growth plans underway in the governorate.

statement
that the project involved laying sewage networks of varying diameters and with lengths exceeding 60 kilometers. This network expansion aims to mitigate environmental damage and serve more than 16,000 beneficiaries in several key neighborhoods of the governorate. The coverage included the neighborhoods of Al-Nuwaymah, Al-Quwayz, Al-Zuwayrah, Al-Muqabil, and Al-Ladam Al-Shamali, in addition to parts of the Nizwa neighborhood. This project represents a significant step towards completing the governorate's coverage with integrated sewage services.

Within the context of development and Vision 2030
, these projects are of paramount importance, particularly within the objectives of the Quality of Life Program and the National Water Initiatives. The Kingdom is investing heavily in infrastructure development to increase coverage of environmental services (sewage) and ensure the sustainability of water resources and environmental protection. The National Water Company serves as the primary implementing arm of this strategy, striving to enhance operational efficiency and improve the level of services provided to citizens and residents throughout the Kingdom.

The environmental and health impact of the project
extends far beyond mere service provision. The presence of a proper sewage network directly contributes to the safe disposal of wastewater, preventing the contamination of groundwater and surface water – a vital concern for a region like Wadi Al-Dawasir, renowned for its agricultural activity and water resources. Furthermore, the project helps eliminate visual pollution and unpleasant odors resulting from the use of traditional cesspools, thus promoting public health and enhancing the city's urban landscape.

Commitment to Quality and Inviting Beneficiaries:
The National Water Company affirmed its full commitment to implementing its projects according to approved timelines and the highest technical quality standards, ensuring service sustainability and achieving the desired positive impact. In closing, the company invited all customers in the neighborhoods covered by the new service to apply for connection through its convenient digital channels, either via the company's smartphone application or its official online portal (e.nwc.com.sa), to immediately benefit from the new ecosystem.
