Seasonal changes and the importance of adhering to instructions

Following weather forecasts is of paramount importance at this time of year, as the Kingdom experiences seasonal weather fluctuations characterized by rapid changes between clear skies, rain, and dust storms. These reports play a vital role in maintaining public safety, whether for road travelers, fishermen, or those enjoying the coastal areas.

This weather condition directly impacts daily activities and maritime navigation, with high waves and strong winds prompting frequent warnings to avoid sailing during critical times. Dust-laden winds in the central and eastern regions may also affect those with respiratory conditions and reduce visibility, highlighting the importance of everyone adhering to the instructions of the Civil Defense and other relevant authorities.

Fluctuations are expected to continue until midweek

In a related context, the National Center for Meteorology warned that the weather conditions will not be limited to today only, but there are chances of varying intensity of rainfall in most regions of the Kingdom starting from tomorrow, Friday, and continuing until next Tuesday.

The statement, published via the “X” platform, indicated that these rains may be accompanied by several weather phenomena, including:

  • Extremely high downdrafts that may reach 60 km/h or more.
  • Hailstones fell.
  • A noticeable increase in waves in coastal areas.
  • Torrential rains flow in valleys and ravines.
