The Foreign Minister discusses regional developments with Jordan, Pakistan, and Turkey

As part of the intensive diplomatic efforts led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to bolster regional and international stability, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a series of telephone calls today from his counterparts in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the Republic of Turkey. These calls come at a sensitive time, as the Middle East region faces rapidly evolving geopolitical challenges that necessitate ongoing coordination among key players.
Saudi-Jordanian coordination
His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs began his diplomatic activities by receiving a telephone call from His Excellency Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. During the call, they discussed the rapidly evolving situation in the region and the efforts being made to contain the current crises. Saudi-Jordanian consultations are of paramount importance given the convergence of views between Riyadh and Amman on key Arab issues, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, as the two countries work closely to de-escalate tensions and ensure regional security.
Strengthening the strategic partnership with Pakistan
In a related development, Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a telephone call from His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Ishaq Dar. The two sides discussed current developments and issues of mutual interest. Saudi-Pakistani relations are a model of historical fraternal ties, with Pakistan playing a pivotal role in the Islamic security system. The telephone conversations also included a call from His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Hakan Fidan, during which the two ministers exchanged views on the latest developments in the region. This call comes amidst the recent growth in Saudi-Turkish relations and the two countries' efforts to unify diplomatic efforts in confronting the challenges facing the region, reflecting a shared desire to strengthen mechanisms for political consultation.
