The Minister of Communications discusses digital partnership with Belarus

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's position as a regional and global hub for technology and innovation, His Excellency the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, received the Minister of Communications and Information of the Republic of Belarus, Kirill Zalesky, in Riyadh. This meeting reaffirms the depth of bilateral relations and the shared desire to expand technological cooperation between the two countries.
Strengthening digital infrastructure and emerging technologies
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance their strategic partnership in vital areas including digital infrastructure, emerging technologies, and artificial intelligence applications. These areas are fundamental pillars in building modern economies, and the Kingdom seeks to leverage global expertise to serve its development goals, in parallel with Belarus's expertise in the software and engineering sectors.
Vision 2030 and supporting digital transformation
These discussions are particularly important in light of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 , which prioritizes digital transformation to diversify income sources and build a fully integrated digital society. The meeting addressed shared opportunities in developing advanced communications networks and explored high-quality projects that enhance the readiness of both the Saudi and Belarusian economies to support a smooth transition to the smart era, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to leading the digital landscape in the region.
Skills development and entrepreneurship empowerment
The discussion wasn't limited to purely technical aspects, but extended to investment in human capital. The two parties explored initiatives related to developing the digital skills of national talent, empowering digital entrepreneurship, and exchanging expertise on regulatory frameworks for the telecommunications sector.
