King Salman and the Crown Prince donated 70 million riyals to the Ihsan platform

In a noble humanitarian gesture that embodies the highest meanings of solidarity and giving, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may God protect them - made two generous donations totaling 70 million Saudi Riyals, in support of the sixth national campaign for charitable work launched through the national platform for charitable work “Ihsan”.
Specifically, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques donated 40 million riyals, while the Crown Prince donated 30 million riyals. This generous support is a continuation of the wise leadership's long-standing tradition of sponsoring and supporting charitable and humanitarian work in the Kingdom, and an encouragement for citizens, residents, and the private sector to actively participate in this campaign, which aims to strengthen the values of social solidarity.
Ihsan Platform: Digital Leadership to Maximize the Impact of Giving
The National Platform for Charitable Work, “Ihsan,” launched in 2021, is a leading initiative overseen by the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). The platform aims to leverage technology and data to empower the non-profit sector and expand its impact by providing a secure, reliable, and transparent digital environment that connects donors with those in need across various developmental and social fields. Since its launch, the platform has successfully gained public trust thanks to its user-friendly interface and the accuracy of its mechanisms for delivering donations to beneficiaries as quickly as possible, making it the preferred choice for many philanthropists within the Kingdom.
The importance and expected impact of donations
The significance of these two donations lies not only in their substantial monetary value but also in their profound symbolic and moral dimensions. This initiative from the highest levels of government sends a powerful message, motivating all segments of society to give and contribute, and serves as a true launchpad for the sixth national campaign, which is expected to significantly increase the pace of donations in the coming days.
Domestically, these funds, along with other donations, will support and finance hundreds of charitable projects and programs in vital areas including healthcare, education, housing, relief efforts, water provision, support for orphans and widows, and other charitable endeavors. This, in turn, strengthens the social safety net and contributes to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 related to developing the non-profit sector and increasing its contribution to the GDP.
His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the “Ihsan” platform, expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince for this generous donation, stressing that this unsurprising support is fuel for continuing the journey of goodness in the Kingdom and a living embodiment of mercy and benevolence in this holy month.
