Leadership support for the 'Generosity is from us and within us' campaign strengthens housing solidarity

Leadership support that reinforces the values of social solidarity
In a gesture embodying the highest ideals of solidarity and generosity deeply rooted in Saudi society, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Prime Minister, launched the fourth edition of the National Charity Campaign under the slogan “Generosity is from us and within us,” by making two generous donations totaling 150 million Saudi riyals. This support was channeled through the “Jood Housing” platform, which specializes in providing housing solutions for the most vulnerable families in the Kingdom, representing a powerful message from the leadership about the importance of concerted efforts to achieve family and societal stability.
Historical background: From traditional giving to digital platforms
The holy month of Ramadan in Saudi Arabia has always been associated with the values of generosity and giving, a time when charitable acts are amplified. The “Generosity is from Us and Within Us” campaign is a natural extension of this historical legacy, but within a structured institutional framework that ensures support reaches those who deserve it with the highest levels of transparency and efficiency. The charitable sector in the Kingdom has witnessed a qualitative leap with the launch of trusted digital platforms such as “Jood Housing” and “Ihsan,” which operate under the supervision of government entities to unify the efforts of individual and corporate philanthropists and direct them towards development projects with a sustainable impact, foremost among them the housing sector, which is a fundamental pillar of quality of life.
The importance and expected impact of the “Generosity is from us and within us” campaign
This leadership support is of paramount importance on several levels. Locally, it directly contributes to achieving one of the key objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030: increasing homeownership rates among citizens. It also strengthens social stability by enabling families in need to access dignified housing, positively impacting all aspects of their lives—educational, health, and psychological well-being. This generous donation serves as a major incentive for all segments of society—business leaders, companies, and citizens—to participate in the campaign and contribute to its noble goals, thereby fostering a culture of social responsibility and deepening the bonds between the leadership and the people.
At the regional and international levels, this initiative presents a pioneering model for how technology and digital platforms can be utilized to serve developmental philanthropy. It reflects the Kingdom's progressive image as a nation that prioritizes the well-being of its citizens and adopts innovative solutions to address social challenges. Furthermore, it inspires other countries to adopt similar models based on community partnerships to tackle pressing issues such as housing, thus reinforcing the Kingdom's position as a key player in humanitarian and development work.
