Deep-rooted historical ties

These relations, spanning centuries, have strengthened cooperation and coordination on various regional and international issues, reflecting the shared destiny and common goals of Riyadh and Manama.
The importance of Bahrain National Day
The Kingdom of Bahrain celebrates its National Day on December 16th and 17th each year, commemorating the establishment of the modern Bahraini state in 1783 AD under its founder, Ahmed Al Fateh, as an Arab Muslim state, and the anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's accession to the throne. This day is a significant national occasion for Bahrainis to reflect on the Kingdom's progress and development, and the remarkable achievements realized during the prosperous reign of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Strategic partnership and economic integration
Strategically, relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain are witnessing continuous development, particularly through the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, which works to propel bilateral relations towards broader horizons. The King Fahd Causeway is a vital artery embodying this physical and symbolic connection, contributing to the enhancement of economic, tourism, and social exchange between the two countries. Both leaderships consistently aspire to achieve greater economic and political integration that serves the interests of their peoples and strengthens the stability and prosperity of the Arabian Gulf region.
