The Foreign Minister discusses regional developments with his Kuwaiti counterpart

His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a telephone call from Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly State of Kuwait, during which the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries were reviewed, and the latest regional developments and the efforts made to deal with them in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples and enhances security and stability were discussed.
The depth of historical relations between Riyadh and Kuwait
Saudi-Kuwaiti relations are characterized by their deep historical roots spanning decades, and by the strong bonds of brotherhood that unite the two leaderships and peoples under the umbrella of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Their shared stances on Arab and Islamic issues have long served as a model of joint diplomacy, with both countries consistently striving to unify their visions and efforts to confront the security and political challenges facing the Gulf region and the wider Arab world. This ensures the protection of the developmental gains of the Gulf peoples and strengthens the path of joint cooperation.
The impact of joint coordination on regional developments
This high-level diplomatic coordination is of paramount importance given the delicate circumstances and rapid transformations unfolding in the Middle East. Discussions on regional developments between the two Gulf states directly contribute to forging unified positions aimed at de-escalation and supporting peace and stability initiatives. The impact of this bilateral cooperation extends to bolstering stability and security not only at the local and regional levels but also on the entire international stage, given the significant political and economic standing of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in global energy matters and multilateral diplomacy.
Extensive Saudi diplomatic efforts to promote stability
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's active diplomatic efforts are not limited to coordination with its brothers in the State of Kuwait. Saudi diplomacy has recently witnessed a surge in intensive and wide-ranging activity. This activity has included similar discussions held by His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs with his Jordanian counterpart to discuss recent developments in the region, as well as high-level meetings to discuss these developments with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom, and the receipt of diplomatic messages from the Russian Foreign Minister concerning matters of mutual interest. This continuous activity reflects Riyadh's leading and pivotal role as a cornerstone of security and peace in the Middle East, and its tireless pursuit of comprehensive and sustainable political solutions to the various current crises.
