The Foreign Minister discusses relations with Guatemala and the latest developments in Syria
As part of the active diplomatic movement taking place in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received today a number of international diplomatic figures to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and discuss pressing regional issues, reflecting the Kingdom’s pivotal role in promoting international peace and security.

His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs began his diplomatic activities by receiving His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guatemala, Mr. Carlos Ramiro Martínez. In a related regional development, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan received the United States Special Envoy to Syria, Mr. Tom Barrack. Discussions focused on the latest developments in Syria, with both sides addressing current challenges and international efforts to reach a sustainable solution to the crisis.
The discussions emphasized the importance of continued coordination and consultation between the Kingdom and the United States to support all efforts aimed at finding a political solution that preserves Syria's unity, security, and stability, and ends the suffering of the brotherly Syrian people, in accordance with relevant international resolutions. The Kingdom plays a leading role in the region in advancing peaceful solutions and supporting humanitarian efforts, consistently stressing the need for concerted international efforts to prevent the resurgence of terrorist organizations and ensure the stability of the entire region.
