1008 facility security personnel promoted by order of the Saudi Minister of Interior

Under the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, the Acting Commander of the Facilities Security Forces, Major General Engineer Saad bin Abdulaziz Al-Mughaisib, issued administrative decrees promoting 1,008 members of the forces to the next rank in various specialties. This step comes within the framework of the ongoing support and attention given by the wise leadership to security personnel, in appreciation of their efforts and dedication to serving the nation.
General context and role of facility security forces
The Facilities Security Forces are a cornerstone of the Saudi Ministry of Interior's security apparatus. Established in 1399 AH (1979 CE), these forces are tasked with protecting and securing the Kingdom's vital economic infrastructure, particularly its petroleum and industrial facilities. Their responsibilities include providing necessary security for sensitive sites such as oil refineries, power and desalination plants, and industrial zones, ensuring their uninterrupted operation and protecting them from any potential threats. Their personnel represent the first line of defense for the national economy, making the development of their capabilities and the enhancement of their morale a strategic priority.
The importance of promotions and their expected impact
The decision to promote such a large number of personnel is not merely a routine administrative procedure, but a clear message of appreciation from the leadership for their dedicated efforts. Domestically, these promotions boost morale and motivate personnel to exert greater effort and dedication, while also enhancing their career paths and opening new horizons for development and advancement. This positively impacts the overall performance of the armed forces, increasing their efficiency in carrying out their vital missions to protect the nation's resources, which aligns with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 that places security and stability as fundamental pillars of sustainable development.
At both the regional and international levels, securing vital facilities in Saudi Arabia is of paramount importance, given the Kingdom's position as the world's largest oil exporter. The stability of global energy supplies depends heavily on the security and safety of these facilities. Therefore, any step aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the Facilities Security Forces, such as these upgrades, sends a reassuring message to global markets and international partners, and underscores the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to safeguarding global energy security.
Major General Engineer Saad Al-Mughaisib expressed his thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership for the attention and follow-up given to the security men, congratulating the individuals who were included in the promotion, and urging them to let this trust be an incentive for them to continue giving and devoting themselves to serving their religion, their king and their country.
