The Minister of Defense presents the King Abdulaziz Medal to the Pakistani Army Chief by order of the King

In a scene reflecting the depth of the strategic relations and strong fraternal ties that unite the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and in implementation of the order of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him - His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense, presented the King Abdulaziz Medal of the Excellent Class to His Excellency the Commander of the Pakistani Army, Field Marshal Asim Munir.

This high honor came during His Highness the Minister of Defense’s reception of His Excellency in his office in Riyadh today, where the ceremony of awarding the medal took place in appreciation of the distinguished efforts made by the Commander of the Pakistani Army in consolidating and strengthening the bonds of friendship and joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries, and his active role in developing Saudi-Pakistani relations and pushing them towards broader horizons.

The King Abdulaziz Medal is one of the highest Saudi decorations awarded to senior officials and military leaders in brotherly and friendly nations. On the Pakistani side, those present included the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Kingdom, Ahmed Farooq, the Secretary to His Excellency the Chief of Defense Forces and Commander of the Army, Major General Muhammad Jawad Tariq, and the Military Attaché at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Kingdom, Brigadier General Mohsin Javed.
