The Cabinet approves the organization of the "National Education Authority" and discusses regional issues

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect him, chaired the Cabinet meeting held today in the capital, Riyadh, which witnessed the issuance of a number of important decisions at the local and international levels, in addition to reviewing the latest political and humanitarian developments in the region.

Diplomatic activity and regional developments

At the outset of the session, the Council was briefed on the intensive diplomatic contacts conducted by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, with a number of leaders of brotherly and friendly nations, including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. These contacts reflect the pivotal role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in promoting regional stability and coordinating positions on shared issues, thus underscoring the Kingdom's political weight and its active influence on complex international matters.

On the Yemeni issue, the Council renewed the Kingdom’s full support for the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, welcoming the call to hold a comprehensive conference in Riyadh for the southern components, a step that confirms the continuation of the Saudi policy aimed at bringing the Yemeni parties together at the dialogue table to end the crisis and achieve sustainable security in brotherly Yemen.

Ongoing humanitarian support for Gaza

The Council addressed the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the continuation of Saudi relief efforts (air, sea, and land) under the directives of the wise leadership. This support is an extension of the Kingdom's long history of supporting the Palestinian cause, where efforts are not limited to political support alone, but also include providing urgent aid to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people, thus solidifying Palestine's place in the hearts of the Saudi leadership and people.

Digital leadership and Vision 2030

Domestically, the Cabinet noted the rapid progress towards digital transformation, praising the launch of the Hexagon data center project in Riyadh. This project is a strategic step within the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 to build a strong digital economy, as it contributes to strengthening national data sovereignty and attracting global technology investments, thus positioning the Kingdom among the leading countries in the field of artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure.
