Temperatures in Saudi Arabia today: Jeddah 30°C and Hail 13°C

Saudi Arabia experienced a noticeable variation in weather across its different regions on Sunday, reflecting the country's significant geographical diversity. Jeddah recorded the highest temperature in the Kingdom, reaching a high of 30 degrees Celsius, continuing its tradition of offering warm weather that distinguishes it from other areas, especially at this time of year. This high temperature is consistent with the city's coastal location and its exposure to the Red Sea climate.

In stark contrast to the warm coastal weather, the northern regions and highlands experienced noticeably cooler conditions. The city of Hail the lowest high temperature of the day, reaching a low of 13 degrees Celsius, prompting residents to take precautions and wear appropriate winter clothing. Hail wasn't alone in experiencing this drop; the southern mountainous regions also saw cooler temperatures, with both Abha and Al-Baha 14 degrees Celsius. Partly cloudy skies were observed in Al-Baha, adding a distinctly wintry feel to the region's atmosphere.

Temperature details in Saudi cities

Weather data revealed detailed conditions across various cities, with Mecca ranking second only to Jeddah in warmth at 29 degrees Celsius, followed by Jazan at 28 degrees Celsius with some scattered clouds. In the central and northern regions of the Kingdom, stable weather prevailed, with temperatures in Riyadh , Buraidah , and Sakaka recording 16 degrees Celsius, amidst sunny and clear skies perfect for outdoor activities.

In the Eastern Province, Al-Ahsa mild weather with a high of 20 degrees Celsius and partly cloudy skies, while Dammam 19 degrees Celsius under bright sunshine. Medina Taif and Najran recording 18 degrees Celsius, and Tabuk 17 degrees Celsius.

Geographical diversity and its impact on tourism and climate

This significant temperature variation, ranging from 30 degrees Celsius in the west to 13 degrees Celsius in the north, clearly demonstrates the vast geographical expanse of Saudi Arabia and the diversity of its terrain, encompassing low-lying coastlines, expansive deserts, and towering mountains. This climatic diversity plays a pivotal role in stimulating domestic tourism, with winter drawing visitors to the western coastal regions like Jeddah and Jazan in search of warmth, while those who prefer cooler weather and mountainous landscapes head to areas such as Asir and Hail.

These rates indicate the continuation of the usual weather fluctuations during transitional periods and winter, which confirms the importance of following the daily weather bulletins issued by the competent authorities to ensure everyone’s safety and to choose appropriate times for outdoor activities and travel between cities.
