Led by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is sending a high-level delegation to participate in the 2026 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, which will be held in Davos, Switzerland, from January 19 to 23. This participation underscores the Kingdom's pivotal role in the global economic and political landscape.
A high-level delegation reflects the diversity of priorities
The Saudi delegation includes a select group of decision-makers and ministers, reflecting the comprehensiveness of the Saudi agenda and the diversity of issues the Kingdom will address. Her Royal Highness Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United States, is among the participants, along with His Excellency Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce; His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Al-Khatib, Minister of Tourism; and His Excellency Eng. Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Investment. The delegation also includes His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance; His Excellency Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha, Minister of Communications; His Excellency Mr. Bandar Al-Khorayef, Minister of Industry; and His Excellency Mr. Faisal Al-Ibrahim, Minister of Economy and Planning.
Strategic context and ambitious vision
The Kingdom's participation in the 56th session of the Forum, held under the theme "Values of Dialogue," is of particular importance given the rapid geopolitical and economic transformations the world is witnessing. The Kingdom's strong presence is based on the accumulated successes of "Vision 2030," which has successfully transformed Saudi Arabia into a major hub of activity and a global model for economic diversification, moving away from total dependence on oil by strengthening the tourism, technology, industry, and clean energy sectors.
Through its presence at this international forum, which brings together more than 100 governments and 1,000 representatives of the private sector, the Kingdom seeks to share its pioneering development experience and explore opportunities for cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence and biotechnology, areas which the Kingdom considers a top priority within its national strategies.
"The Saudi House"... A Window to the Future
To enhance effective communication, the Kingdom is relaunching the "Saudi House" pavilion initiative, organized by the Ministry of Economy and Planning. This pavilion serves as a strategic platform, bringing together thought leaders and decision-makers through more than 20 dialogue sessions, 10 of which are officially accredited by the Forum. Discussions will focus on vital themes including: "An Ambitious Vision," "Data for Impact," "Human Capital Development," "Quality of Life," and "Investment and Collaboration.".
Global impact and quality initiatives
The Kingdom's participation extends beyond diplomatic and economic engagement to include proposing innovative solutions to global challenges. In this context, the initiative will launch the "NextOn" dialogue series to explore future transformations across various sectors. This robust presence underscores the Kingdom's commitment to its responsibilities as an active member of the G20 and its dedication to fostering cooperation between the public and private sectors to ensure the stability and prosperity of the global economy.
