Urgent Saudi aid to 4 countries through the King Salman Relief Center

As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s leading role in global humanitarian work, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center its intensive field efforts to provide assistance to the most vulnerable and displaced people in four Arab and African countries: Sudan, Chad, Niger, and Lebanon. These efforts are part of the Kingdom’s ongoing strategy to alleviate humanitarian crises and provide food security and healthcare to those affected around the world.
Supporting food security in Sudan and Niger
Given the exceptional circumstances Sudan is experiencing, the center intensified its efforts in White Nile State, distributing 2,513 complete food baskets in Kosti locality. This aid benefited 18,678 individuals from displaced and vulnerable families. This support is part of the 2026 "Madad" project, which aims to address the food gap faced by displaced people forced to leave their homes, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to standing with the brotherly Sudanese people during their hardship.
In parallel, the center's humanitarian efforts extended to West Africa, specifically the Republic of Niger, where it distributed 803 food baskets in the village of Dandaji Makou in the city of Maradi. This aid benefited 5,621 individuals from 803 families, as part of the 2026 project to support internally displaced persons, refugees, and host communities in Niger. This assistance is of paramount importance in the Sahel region of Africa, which faces climatic and economic challenges that directly impact food availability.
Caring for vulnerable groups in Chad
In Chad, Saudi aid focused on the most vulnerable segments of society. In the Chari-Garmi region, the center distributed 800 cartons of dates and 800 personal hygiene kits for women. This project targeted 800 families, including people with disabilities, refugees, widows, and other vulnerable groups. The dates were distributed due to their high nutritional value and cultural significance, while the personal hygiene kits contribute to promoting public health and preserving the dignity of the beneficiaries. This initiative is part of a broader project that includes the distribution of 800 tons of dates and 13,500 hygiene kits.
Vital ambulance services in Lebanon
On the health front in Lebanon, the center continued its funding of vital ambulance services in the north of the country. The ambulance service of the "Subul al-Salam Social Association" in the Minieh region carried out 34 ambulance missions last week. These missions ranged from providing first aid to the injured to transporting patients to and from hospitals, targeting both Syrian refugees and the Lebanese host community. This support is a cornerstone in alleviating pressure on the Lebanese health sector and ensuring access to emergency medical services for those in need.
