Saudi Minister of Information, Salman Al-Dossari, announced during the government press conference held on Monday a package of strategic achievements that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has accomplished by the end of 2025, stressing that the Kingdom is turning a new page in its ambitions and successive successes that reflect progress in accordance with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Huge discoveries enhance the Kingdom's position in the energy market

In an announcement reflecting the Kingdom's continued leadership in the global energy sector, Al-Dossari revealed the success of national efforts in discovering 13 new oil and gas fields and 12 new reservoirs during 2025. These discoveries will significantly increase the Kingdom's proven reserves and support its strategy of replacing liquid fuels with gas, thereby enhancing economic efficiency and preserving resources for future generations. Economic experts indicate that these discoveries not only bolster the local economy but also contribute to global energy security.

Digital leadership and artificial intelligence

Regarding digital transformation, the Minister of Media explained that the Kingdom has secured its place at the forefront globally, ranking first worldwide in the number of awards at the Artificial Intelligence for Youth competition with 26 prizes, in addition to achieving second place globally in digital government indicators. These figures reflect the massive investment the state has made in digital infrastructure and empowering young national talent to lead the technological future.

Leaps in quality of life and housing

Al-Dossari reviewed vital indicators that directly impact citizens' lives, noting the rise in average life expectancy in the Kingdom to 79.7 years, compared to 74 years in 2016. This reflects the success of healthcare transformation programs and the improved quality of medical services. Regarding housing, the minister confirmed that homeownership among Saudi families reached 65.4% by the end of last year, a figure that closely approaches the final Vision targets, demonstrating the effectiveness of the housing and financing solutions offered.

Promoting soft power and the environment

In the context of international relations and the strength of the Saudi passport, it was announced that Saudi citizens will be able to enter 31 countries without a visa or with special facilities during 2025. Environmentally, and within the framework of Saudi Arabia's green initiatives, nearly 85,000 seabirds were documented and nearly 1,600 endangered wildlife species were reintroduced, confirming the Kingdom's commitment to preserving biodiversity.

Qiddiya and Entertainment Updates
