Saudi Arabia condemns the terrorist bombing in Kabul and offers condolences to the victims

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed the Kingdom’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the treacherous terrorist bombing that targeted the Afghan capital, Kabul, which resulted in a number of casualties and injuries among Afghan citizens as well as a number of Chinese nationals, in a tragic incident that reflects the brutality of extremist ideology.
Saudi Arabia takes a firm stance against terrorism
In its official statement, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its firm and unwavering stance against all forms of violence, terrorism, and extremism, regardless of their motives or justifications. The Ministry emphasized that targeting civilians and innocent people constitutes a flagrant violation of human values and international principles, and stressed the Kingdom's full support for the brotherly Afghan people in confronting these security challenges that hinder the path to stability and reconstruction.
Solidarity and condolences
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also expressed the Kingdom's deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the families of the victims and to the governments and peoples of Afghanistan and China, praying to God Almighty to grant His mercy to the deceased and a speedy recovery to the injured. This solidarity stems from the Kingdom's leading role in the Islamic world and its unwavering commitment to the security and well-being of all peoples.
The security context in Afghanistan
This bombing comes at a time when Kabul and many other parts of Afghanistan are facing escalating security challenges, as extremist groups attempt to destabilize the country and spread fear among residents and visitors. Attacks targeting foreign nationals, including Chinese citizens, are a dangerous sign of a strategy aimed at isolating Afghanistan internationally and undermining the economic and diplomatic interests that could contribute to the country's reconstruction.
The importance of regional stability
Observers believe that the continuation of such terrorist acts not only threatens Afghanistan internally but also casts a shadow over regional and international security. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia consistently calls on the international community to join forces to combat terrorism and eliminate its sources, emphasizing that achieving security in Afghanistan is a fundamental pillar for the stability of Central and South Asia. Targeting civilian infrastructure and locations frequented by foreign nationals necessitates a firm international stance to prevent the further deterioration of the humanitarian and security situation in this country, which has suffered for many years from the ravages of war and conflict.
