The General Authority for Roads in Saudi Arabia recorded a new organizational achievement during this year's Hajj season, announcing statistics for the third day of Dhul-Hijjah. The roads leading to Mecca witnessed high traffic volumes and remarkably smooth flow, with over 70,000 vehicles recorded. Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road topped the list in terms of traffic volume, recording 23,632 vehicles. Al-Laith Road came in second with 13,047 vehicles, followed by the Taif-Makkah Road via the Al-Sail Al-Kabeer route, which saw 12,630 vehicles pass through.
The authority also indicated that the Makkah-Taif road (via the Al-Hada mountain pass) recorded 8,034 vehicle passages. Regarding other routes, the Makkah-Jeddah road (via Bahra) saw approximately 6,872 vehicles, while the Al-Hijrah road recorded 4,071 vehicles. Additionally, the direct Makkah-Jeddah road witnessed 1,432 vehicle passages, demonstrating the strategic distribution of traffic to alleviate congestion.
