The Sultan of Oman receives the Saudi Foreign Minister to discuss relations

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, received today His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, at Al Baraka Palace in the Omani capital, Muscat. This meeting comes within the framework of reciprocal visits and ongoing coordination between the two leaderships to strengthen ties of cooperation.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, along with their wishes for his continued health and happiness, and for the brotherly Omani people's continued progress and prosperity. For his part, His Majesty the Sultan asked His Highness to convey his greetings and appreciation to the Saudi leadership, wishing the Kingdom, its government, and its people further prosperity and advancement.
The meeting included a comprehensive review of the deep-rooted and historic fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman, relations characterized by strategic depth and close social ties that bind the two nations. The two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, serving their common interests and fulfilling the aspirations of the two brotherly countries, within the framework of the Saudi-Omani Coordination Council, which plays a pivotal role in advancing economic and investment cooperation.
This visit is of particular importance given the challenges facing the region. Discussions focused on the latest developments on the regional and international stages, as well as efforts to enhance security and stability in the Middle East. Riyadh and Muscat share identical political views on many issues, emphasizing dialogue and diplomacy, and working within the framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council to ensure the security and stability of the Gulf.
This meeting also reflects the harmony between the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and Oman’s Vision 2040, as the two countries seek to create promising investment opportunities and economic integration, especially after the opening of the direct land route between the two countries and the activation of several trade agreements aimed at diversifying sources of income and raising trade exchange rates.
The reception was attended by the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Sultanate of Oman, Ibrahim bin Saad bin Bishan, and a number of officials from both sides, reflecting the great interest that the two leaderships attach to developing this exemplary relationship.
